Incredible Week! February 29, 2016

So this week has been incredible!! (: So I received an e-mail today from Sister Ince... and Clarissa got baptized on Saturday in Fort Macleod!!! (: OH I can't even begin to express the feelings of joy and gratitude that I have felt today! I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been an instrument in the Lord's hands! Clarissa was prepared by the Lord and I am beyond grateful that I had an opportunity to meet her! She has blessed my life so much and has inspired me to continue to strive to serve the Lord with all of my heart, might, mind and strength!! Oh words can not honestly express how I am feeling right now!!! (:  

Also here in Banff we had an amazing lesson with Hermain!! She shared with us some of the things that she has been struggling with and how she just was searching for answers and how the things that we talked about during the lesson gave her the answers she was looking for! We had the lesson in the Barker's home and it was so powerful!! Brother and Sister Barker bore testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and how He has helped them overcome trials and hardships and the Spirit was so strong!! Hermain was crying and just expressed her gratitude that we were able to all meet!! I just love seeing the Spirit touch the lives of so many people!! Hermain was able to receive an answer to her prayer and we had the amazing opportunity to be an instrument in the Lords hands in helping her feel loved by Him. I'm not going to lie... it's not always easy being a missionary... but I am eternally grateful for the amazing experiences I am having and for the things that I am learning from all of the amazing people around me!! I am so grateful to be here in Canada!! (: I know that this is the Lords work and that we all can be instruments in His hands as we reach out and try to love everyone around us! (:

Beyond Blessed!!! February 22, 2016

Honestly, I don't even know where to begin to start this week... we have been so beyond blessed!!! The Lord has blessed us with SO many miracles this week!! (: So to start our appointment of Thursday with Joseph was amazing!! He has been so prepared by the Lord!! We met him at Tim Horton's ( a Canadian Donut shop) and he sat down and told us how he is just searching for the truth, he feels like his life has no purpose, and he even talked about how he wants to know: where we came from, why we are here, and where we are going!!! So we talked about the Plan of Salvation and invited him to read The Book of Mormon and to pray about it. Oh this experience has just built my testimony so much because we have been praying for someone whom the Lord has prepared and then Walaa Joseph texted us out of the blue! Heavenly Father has such an amazing and loving plan for each of us and I am so grateful to be a part of it!! (: Then to top off the amazing visit we had with Joseph (who we are seeing again this Thursday!!!) We started teaching Connor, a former investigator that the Sisters before us were teaching!! It was such a cool experience because we went to his door and knocked and he came out and said that he had met with the Sisters in the past but that he wasn't interested anymore... but that didn't stop us!! We just kept chatting with him on his door step about his life and what has been going on with his family lately and then all of a sudden he started to open up!! We shared a scripture with him, talked about the importance of having a personal relationship with our Savior, had a prayer with him on his doorstep, and we have a return appointment to start teaching him the lessons again!! Oh I just love to see the Spirit work within people!! But wait.... there is more!!! So Sister Ovard has had a few additional former investigators on her mind (Nick and Bryan) so we just called them out of the blue last night and they BOTH set up appointments to meet with us this week!! That has NEVER happened while I have been in Canada!!!! Needless to say, Heavenly Father has blessed us so so much! I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be serving here in the Banff Branch, and have an opportunity to be an instrument in the Lords hands here! Heavenly Father has such a wonderful plan for each of us and I am so grateful that part of His plan for me was to come to Canada!! (:

Crazy Week February 8, 2016

So this week has been crazy!! We have been in Calgary most of the week and in Lethbridge for meetings (might I say though that all of the meetings have been SO spiritually uplifting and worth the crazy long drives to get there!!!) but we have still seen miracles here in Banff and Canmore!! (: So Sister Ovard and I have been praying and praying that Heavenly Father would help us find someone whom He has prepared and is ready for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The work is really different here in Banff because it is a small branch and most of the people are very rich and content with their lives.... so it has been a little tricky... but we have just been trying to rely on the Lord and work as hard as we can and let Him prepare the hearts of those around us. So this morning we got a text and it was a referral from Church Headquarters!!! Someone that lives in Canmore ASKED for the missionaries to COME TO HIM!!!! So we texted him ASAP and now we have an appointment to see him this Thursday!!! (: Oh Heavenly Father is just so great! He truly does hear and answer our prayers when HE knows it is time!! I am so grateful for His love and for the opportunity I have to be here!! (:

Transfer to Banff, February 1, 2016

This week has been crazy!! I got transferred out of Fort Macleod.... and now I am in Banff!!! ( please google Banff Alberta... it will blow your mind how beautiful it is!!! ) with my new companion Sister Ovard!! And might I say that she is so amazing! I'm so excited that I get to serve with her this transfer!!! I'm not going to lie... I was so sad to leave Ft. Macleod!!! I have come to love so many people there and they have become just like family to me!!! But I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and Sister Ovard here in Banff!!! The people here are so sweet and the mountains are so beautiful!! I feel like I am back home being surrounded by the mountains again!! (: Kind of a cool little quick story, the second day that I was here we decided to try to stop by a less active. ( Sister Ovard and her last companion tried to many times in the past but we didn't want to give up hope!!) She came to the door and told us that she was busy and that now wasn't a good time, but then we just started talking to her and asked if there would be another time that we could come by she said that she needed to grab her phone so she invited us in. Next thing we know she invited us to sit on her couch and we had a great chat and shared a message with her!!! It was so amazing!! Oh I just am so grateful for the Spirit!! (: I know that we are all put in certain places for a reason  in all of our lives and I am grateful to be here in Banff!! I'm excited to see what the future here hold with the Lord guiding our steps!! (:
