Tender Mercies August 24, 2015

This week has been great! We have seen such amazing Tender Mercies! So first we were out and about tracting and doing some street contacting but it was pretty rainy out so we finally found someone that was outside and he turned out to be a less active member that we had never met with before!! It is just so neat how the Lord provides a way for us to meet the people that He has planned! Also we had dinner with a family in our ward that is really struggling financially right now and they made us the biggest and best dinner I could have ever imagined!! It was so humbling to see how they used everything that they could to feed us! It is such a humbling thing to be a representative of the Lord and see how much people sacrifice so they can help us!! Man, I just wanted to tear up with gratitude for this sweet family that is so kind and so willing to share what little they had! The last little story that I wanted to share was about a lady that just had a miscarriage in the ward... we went over for a little visit and we had so much fun laughing and giggling and then we started sharing the message we had prepared and the Spirit was so Strong! The sweet lady just started tearing up and telling us about how hard it has been for her to loose her baby... it was so sad to see but so amazing to be able to  see how the Spirit can bring so much comfort to us... especially as we are struggling! I am so grateful for the gospel and to have the knowledge that families truly will be together forever! I just can't say it enough but I LOVE being a missionary! Even though we aren't moving mountains...(that is not yet (; haha) but the small and simple things we are doing truly are making a difference! I am so grateful the Spirit can touch hearts and directs us to know where to be, what to say, and how we can help people feel the love that Heavenly Father has for them!! (:

A Great Week!! August 17, 2015

This week has been so great!! (: We had one of our less actives come to church this week!!! It is so neat to see people be touched by the Spirit and come closer to Christ!! Oh I just love this work!! (: Also this week a member took us to the mall to meet some of her non-member friends that she used to work with there and it was such a neat experience!!! (: The ladies that she introduced us to are so sweet and one of them we are going to try to go on a walk with this coming week and see if she would be interested in taking the lessons!! (: It is so cool how Heavenly Father prepares all of us!! He prepares members to have opportunity's to come across people that are ready for the gospel and He prepares us as missionaries to be in the right place at the right time!! I am so grateful to be on a mission!! I can't say it enough but it honestly is such an amazing experience! I love seeing the joy that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings to everyone that is so willing to accept it!! (:

Miracle Week!! March 11, 2015

This week is a miracle week!! So do you remember the story about Liska, the girl we asked if she needed help moving and she said no they were okay. Then we chatted with her for a little about us being missionaries and she said that her boyfriend was a Mormon and that she wanted to be one to someday!!! Well guess what... she is on date to be BAPTIZED on October 17!!! I can not even express my joy!! Ohhh I am so grateful for Heavenly Father and His plan!! She has been being prepared by the Lord for 6 years!! And now the time has come!!!! Needless to say I'm pretty excited!!! (: Also this week one of the less actives that we have been visiting for quite a while has been making big changes in his life and going back to church!! It is so neat to be able to see the Spirit touch peoples hearts and help them Become who Heavenly Father has planned for them to be!!  I am just beyond grateful for the opportunity to be on a mission and be able to be a small part of the work that the Lord is doing!!

Calgary Zoo!! August 4, 2015

This week has been another great one!! To start yesterday for P-day Rosalee took us to the Calgary zoo!! (: And needless to say it was a flipp'n blast!! (: But the best part of the day was after when she invited us to have dinner with her and her family! So a little back ground on Rosalee she is less active and both of her kids are not religious at all... but she is so sweet and always willing to let us in and do things with us!! So we ordered some pizza and were all sitting around the table and we all talked about the best things that happened to us throughout the day. Then we shared a Mormon Message about how doing the little things and serving those around us truly makes a difference!! The Spirit was so strong!! It was just another testimony builder on how much the Lord knows each of us personally and how He will always put people in all of our paths that we can help and that can help us!! One of the quotes that I came across from Elder Kevin W. Pearson said " Daily Discipleship  will determine out ETERNAL destiny..." Man, isn't that just a power house quote!!! And it is so true!! All of the little things we do throughout the day like: reading our scriptures, saying our prayers, being patient with our family and friends, looking for ways to serve all those around us, and the list goes on and on... all of these seemingly small and "no big deal" things are shaping who we are! I am so grateful for the knowledge that we have!! I am so grateful for the Savior and all the He does for each and everyone of us to help us BECOME... who He needs us to be!! (:

Canadian Tornado July 27, 2015

This week has been another great week!! (: We picked up a new investigator!! (: Whoot whoot!! The Lord is blessing us so much!! So his name is Brother Kumar and we were just walking back from visiting the nursing home when I saw this little chalk board outside a house with an inspirational quote on it... I looked at Sister Kolodisi and said "How about we knock on this door?" So we did and after chatting with him a little bit we gave him a Book of Mormon and asked if we could come back and talk more about what we believe in... and he said YES!!! (: It is so neat how that Spirit works!! I am just so grateful that the Spirit has the power to touch hearts!! (: In addition to that we were having lunch with Amanda Nilsson and her non-member friend Michelle....crazy side note... during lunch there was an extreme tornado warning... yup that's right this chi-ca survived a Canadian tornado!!  Whoohooo!! (: But in all reality it didn't touch down where we were so we were pretty safe (besides the golf ball sized hail that was coming down in some places)  but we did all go down into the basement just to be safe! (: Then it all passed over and it was beautiful and sunny the rest of the day!!! I'm tell'n ya now the Weather in Canada is bonkers!! (: haha But the kicker is at the end of the lunch we were talking to Michelle about how we have talked to her a little about the gospel and what we believe but then we asked her if she wanted to know more and we could meet with her and Amanda to talk more about it!! And she said YES too!!! (: We are so exited she is going to be out of town this week so we should be starting lessons with her the following week!! (: And on top of all that... we were able to get in with even more Less Actives that haven't let us come in the past!!! (: Oh and Barb opened up to us so much this week it was amazing! She started tearing up while we were talking and we just bore testimony to her how much Heavenly Father loves her and He will always be here to help her even when she is feeling overwhelmed!! (: Needless to say this week has been so amazing!! I am so grateful to be on a mission and have this wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord!! I am so grateful for the Spirit and that helps all of us feel of the Love that Heavenly Father has for us!! And for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the ability each one of us has to be changed and become more like Him!! (:
